For starters, check your calendar to see what holidays and events are coming up that you’d like to center your promotions around. From Spring Break and your local high school’s Prom to Earth Day, Easter, and Mother’s Day, there are a wide variety of spring events to excite every listener persona. Choose the holidays or local happenings that best fit with your brand and your audience demographic, and then partner with a business in your community to run sweepstakes giving away themed prizes or event tickets. Of course, not all of your contests have to be online. Get out and enjoy the lovely spring weather while interacting with your listeners face-to-face at fun live contests, such as a fan field day or a battle of the bands competition.
If you’d like to boost online engagement but have a limited prizing budget, you can still get your audience excited with spring-themed content such as trivia, surveys, and polls! You can even monetize these by selling a sponsored content package to a local advertiser.
