From Twitter to Facebook and Instagram, hashtags are a great way to make your social media content searchable by certain keywords. Make promotional posts for your next event standout by creating a hashtag specific to the event, such as #JINGLEJAM or #92XBIRTHDAYBASH. Once you’ve determined your specialized tag, pair it with one or two more generic hashtags that are commonly searched, such as #concerts, #events, or the name of your city. Once you’ve determined your custom hashtag, encourage attendees to use it in their own posts leading up to and during the event to start it trending across social networks.
