You can set up alerts for specific keywords and phrases related to your station, such as your call letters, the names of your on-air personalities, or even the names of your contests. Whenever someone posts about your brand on another site such as a news website or blog, you’ll receive an email with a description of the mention and a direct link to the post. This is a great way to both see what kind of buzz your programming and promotions are generating online and to find opportunities for new publicity.

Google Alerts can also be used to seek out new content to share on your site and on-air. Consider setting up several alerts for industry trends or particular musicians featured in your programming to be instantly be notified of breaking news to share with your audience or even spark new contest and promotion ideas.
