Today, one of our Client Success Managers, Vanessa Leavitt, answers another common question that we hear from clients looking for ways to boost online engagement.
I use your Express CMS product and am curious about the Gravity Forms feature included in my dashboard. What are some of the best use cases for these forms?
Vanessa: That’s a great question! There are lots of ways that the forms feature can be used to boost site interaction, collect information, and improve your site visitors’ experience. The best time to use this feature is when you would like to elicit a response from your audience without adding them to your email database. Also, a benefit of forms is that they can easily be embedded on any page within your site, prompting interaction from your listeners. I’ve outlined below some of the top use cases, specifically for clients using the Express CMS platform to build and maintain their websites:
- Community calendar: If your site includes a calendar of local happenings around your community then chances are you are often contacted by audience members and businesses with requests to add their own events. Embedding a form on your calendar page is a great way to allow them to submit their event date and details to be included. Not only will this decrease the number of messages flooding your inbox, but it’s also a safer method for receiving these requests, reducing the risk of harmful viruses being spread to your email. Plus, you will have the ability to review and approve any listing before it is published to your public calendar.
- On-Air birthday and anniversary shout-out requests: Include a shout-out request form on your local programming page so that listeners can send well wishes to loved ones on special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries.
- Sign-ups for sponsored events: Collect leads for your advertisers while giving your audience access to private events or exclusive discounts on tickets for sponsored parties, concerts, and more around your community. Consider embedding a sign-up form on a landing page that promotes the specific event. If you plan to export the list and provide it to your advertising partner, be sure that you clearly state in the sign-up instructions that users who complete the form will be contacted by the sponsor.
